In February 2012, Seven members of KiSTA were Tutored by John Roberts of  Puppet Craft www.puppetcraft.co.uk

The group worked extreemly hard to make seven large marionettes based on characters from the 'Winefred' story written by S.B.Gould, which inspired the amazing Community Play held in Seaton Town Hall last year.

KiSTA took part by painting the scenery, and were so impressed that they decided to talk to the Seaton Visitors Centre Trust about creating a set of puppets to take the story forward for the cummunity, and to create a 'Winefred' theatre to take into schools and perform to other audiences also.

Phase one is under way, our puppets need refining and stringing. Then we will need to dress them, and, most importantly, learn to work them.

If anyone is intersted in helping we we love to hear from you, there is scope for sewing, painting, handling the puppets, scenery building and narrating the story. You will need to be over 15 years in age, but there are roles for anyone committed enough, even if you have a disability or impedement.
